Designing Visual Systems for Clarity in Healthcare Contexts
Information Design • Data Visualization • UX Hierarchy • Pricing Strategy • Communication Design
Healthcare information is often complex, blending financial decisions, treatment considerations, and regulatory requirements. This project explores how research, pricing logic, and visual hierarchy can make that information easier to compare, interpret, and act upon.
Through patient preference research, modular pricing systems, and policy communication design, the work demonstrates a hybrid approach to information visualization—one that supports transparency, confidence, and informed decision-making throughout the patient experience.
Understanding Patient Preferences for Orthodontic Treatment Tiers
Survey data was conducted to better understand how patients evaluate orthodontic treatment plans, compare pricing tiers, and balance financial considerations. Insights revealed that offering more granular tier options increased perceived choice and value while maintaining revenue potential for the practice.
Visualizing Treatment Options for Clarity & Decision-Making
Orthodontic treatment involves complex variables including duration, retainers, warranties, and appliances. This modular pricing comparison system simplifies trade-offs and supports consultation discussions. By standardizing structure across practices, patients can compare plans more confidently and make informed treatment decisions.
Translating Data Governance into Plain Language
Compliance language around HIPAA, security, and data storage is dense. This information sheet uses hierarchy, chunking, and iconography to make policy easier to skim and explain to patients and internal stakeholders.
